Happy New Year, It’s Officially 2017!

It was exactly one year ago today that I made the decision to change the name and direction of my brand in a way that was more authentic to not only myself but all of you; the people I believe in my heart I’m here to serve.

Unlike much of what I heard many others saying, 2016 was not a bad year for me. I honestly can’t complain.

While I know today is recognized worldwide as the day for fresh starts and new beginnings, the stark reality is nothing will change unless you do.

If you don’t make a conscious decision to do the work necessary to become the woman you want to be, you’ll be in the exact same position that you are today.

The truth is 92% of people who waited until today, to make ‘resolutions’ will drop off or quit completely before the month is over, in fact most of the 92% will drop off in the first two weeks.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to deflate or discourage you.  We all get excited at this time of the year but I want to remind you that every day you get a chance to wake up with breath in your lungs is a chance to start again.

As I continue to work on myself and my business especially over the last year, one thing became very clear to me.  I want the work I do in the world to be about so much more than quitting your 9-5.  I believe that entrepreneurship is a life skill, simply meaning a skill that can improve the quality of one’s life.  With that being said I’m on a mission to help as many women around the world as I can acquire it.

One of my main goals for 2017 is to give everything I have to ensure that the My Boss Is Me. (as a platform) continues to become a trusted and valuable resources for women of colour on an entrepreneurial journey, by providing relevant concepts and strategies to help you grow as an entrepreneur.

I have so much in store for you this year, and I’m looking forward to watching you all and myself grow.

Here’s To You

May you get everything you desire and that YOU deserve, May 2017 truly be your best year yet.

I would absolutely love to hear from you!  What would you like to see more or less of this year?  What are you challenged with? What would you like help with? How can I serve You?

Feel free to reach out anytime, I’m here for YOU!

So Much Love,

Kike-Lola xoxo
